Team Members Presented at the American Psychology- Law Society Conference

Several of our team members presented at the annual American Psychology-Law Society conference in Denver Colorado on March 17-19, 2022 (Armaan Rajan, Kelsey Alexander and Jennifer Krentz). Armaan and Kelsey, in collaboration with BC Review Board chair Ms. Alison McPhail, Dr. Christopher Webster, and Dr. Tonia Nicholls, delivered a talk on the use of virtual hearings for forensic Review Boards. Moreover, Jennifer’s presentation on her thesis that was co-supervised by Dr. Ron Roesch at SFU, and Dr. Tonia Nicholls at UBC received the 2nd place award for the best undergraduate paper (see cover photo). Jennifer’s thesis examined how frequently experts attended to empirically-validated risk assessment measures and individual risk/protective factors (measured using the HCR-20 & the START) within expert reports to courts and review boards for patients found Not Criminally Responsible on Account of Mental Disorder (NCRMD) in a Canadian jurisdiction.

Great job team!
